Nicholas' story

Hi Sandy....here is my personal story-

I gave birth to my son by c-section on July 29,1996.  Nicholas was perfect!  He was very alert and had not health problems.  My baby boy never got sick during, and he was very advanced for his age.  He did everything early....he walked at 10 months old and at a year and a half, he could say the alphabet.  Unfortunately at 18 months old, he received the MMR, DPT, HIB, Hep-B, and Polio...a total of 9 vaccines!  Over a period of a month, my son changed drastically.  He lost all his speech, stopped playing with toys, lost his eye contact, could not sleep, became irritable, developed poor fine motor skills, became terrified of people (except family) and would get heart palpitations if we where in the same room with strangers, he developed hearing sensitiveness and a ton of allergies....all this over a 30 day period following the recommended vaccine schedule.  Today, my son is 6 years old, but he is developmentally age 3.  He just started talking in sentences last year.  He enjoys playing with toys again, video games, bike riding, and soccer.  He is no longer afraid of people outside of our home, and has eye contact once again.  He still has hearing sensitivities, he's hyper-active, and he still is not potty trained.  I believe he is getting better because of good nutrition, vitamins, chelation, and early intervention.  My son still has a long way to go, but I'm thankful that he is getting better and he always has a smile on his face.  The one thing that this experience has taught me is that when it comes to the medical community, doctors do not "know everything", and you cannot assume that every child will benefit from vaccinations.
