* ►March 12, 2010 - Testosterone in girls' brains offers clue to autism's cause - Sydney Morning Herald - "Dr Whitehouse, whose study was published this month in the journal Psychoneuroendocrinology, said he would now seek funding to repeat the study across the entire WA cohort, including boys, to definitively answer whether autism was linked to prenatal testosterone levels, and if so how strongly."

* ►March 11, 2010 - Vaccine Researcher Flees with $2M - 11Alive.com, Atlanta Georgia - "Danish scientist who was a lead researcher in two studies that purport to show that mercury used in vaccines do not cause autism is believed to have used forged documents to steal $2 million from Aarhus University in Denmark. Dr. Poul Thorsen was also a research professor at Emory University from 2003 until June of 2009. Emory University officials gave no reason for Thorsen's departure. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funded research conducted by Thorsen and his colleagues at Aarhus University. The CDC asked the researchers to conduct studies to determine whether thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative and adjuvant used in vaccines, played ay role in causing autism. The results of the studies, that there was no link between vaccines containing mercury and autism, formed the foundation for the conclusions of several Institute of Medicine reports. In a statement Aarhus University officials said Thorsen forged documents supposedly from the CDC to obtain the release of $2 million from the university."

* ►March 11, 2010 - School refuses access for Gardasil vaccine - www.stuff.co.nz - "The school's decision comes only days after Wellington woman Rhonda Renata publicly blamed the Gardasil vaccine for the death of her 18-year-old daughter last year.  Jasmine died in September, six months after she received the last of the three injections of the vaccine. Ms Renata said "right from the first shot" Jasmine complained of ailments including headaches, weak limbs, pins and needles, abdominal and chest pains, and a racing heartbeat. She is now waiting for answers from the coroner. Meanwhile, Timaru mother Julie Smith has started a website, www.offtheradar.co.nz, out of concern about the vaccine as she researched it."

* ►March 11, 2010 - Scholar demands inquiry into 'deaths' of flu jab volunteers - Bangkok Post - "An independent scholar has asked the Administrative Court to halt the H1N1 vaccine trial programme based on claims it had caused a number of deaths. Somkid Homnet, from Udon Thani, claimed there had been an attempt to cover up the deaths of people who volunteered to test the vaccine. Mr Somkid yesterday asked the court to consider whether Public Health Minister Jurin Laksanavisit, Government Pharmaceutical Organisation board chairman Vichai Chokewiwat, GPO managing director Witit Artavatkhun, the Public Health Ministry's clinical research ethics committee and Pratap Singhasivanon, the dean of the tropical medicine faculty at Mahidol University, had violated the rights of H1N1 vaccine volunteers. He claimed to have information that six of the 24 who volunteered to be inoculated with the live-attenuated flu vaccine had died."

'What we were looking for is proof that influenza ... is decreased. Didn't find it. We looked for proof that pneumonia is reduced. Didn't find it. We looked for proof deaths from pneumonia are reduced. Didn't find it.'"

* ►March 11, 2010 - Well, Well, Well: Wakefield Questions by Connie Howard - Vue Weekly - "[Andrew] Wakefield has been singled out for the purpose of discouraging other doctors willing to listen to their patients and do the relevant research even when it challenges vaccine dogma. His career and reputation have been severely harmed as a result of putting his patients ahead of his own protection.  But Wakefield views that as trivial compared to what has been lost to the children. In his mind, they are the real victims."
